What it does

Retinol is a vitamin A derivative that, once converted to retinoic acid in the skin, binds to retinoid receptors and stimulates cell turnover, collagen synthesis, and the normalisation of skin cell differentiation. It is one of the most clinically validated ingredients for reducing fine lines, wrinkles, and acne over consistent long-term use.

Benefits
  • Stimulates collagen production, reducing fine lines and wrinkles
  • Accelerates skin cell turnover for smoother, more even texture
  • Unclogs pores and reduces acne breakouts
  • Fades hyperpigmentation and sun damage over time
  • Improves skin elasticity and firmness

Typical concentration: 0.025–1% (start low, e.g. 0.025–0.1%, and build up)
