What it does

Lactic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid naturally derived from fermented milk. It is a larger molecule than glycolic acid, so it penetrates less deeply, making it gentler and better tolerated by sensitive skin. Unusually among AHAs, it also functions as a humectant, providing hydration alongside exfoliation.

Benefits
  • Gently exfoliates to smooth texture and improve radiance
  • Functions as a humectant to attract and retain moisture
  • Improves hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone
  • Better tolerated than glycolic acid for sensitive skin types
  • Helps normalise skin cell turnover
