What it does

Salicylic acid is a beta hydroxy acid (BHA) that is lipid-soluble, allowing it to penetrate the sebum-filled pore lining and dissolve the bonds holding dead skin cells together inside the follicle. It also has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties, making it uniquely effective for blackheads, whiteheads, and inflammatory acne.

Benefits
  • Penetrates and unclogs pores by dissolving sebum and dead skin cells
  • Reduces blackheads, whiteheads, and inflammatory acne
  • Has anti-inflammatory properties that calm active breakouts
  • Reduces pore size over time by keeping them clear
  • Gently exfoliates the skin surface
