Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter

“A rich emollient packed with fatty acids and vitamins that deeply nourishes dry skin.”
What it does
Shea butter is extracted from the nuts of the African shea tree. It is rich in oleic, stearic, and linoleic fatty acids, as well as vitamins A and E, and triterpenoids with anti-inflammatory activity. It functions primarily as an emollient and occlusive, sealing moisture into the skin and replenishing barrier lipids. Unrefined shea retains more bioactive compounds than refined.
Benefits
- Deeply moisturises and softens very dry or rough skin
- Anti-inflammatory compounds reduce eczema symptoms and redness
- Vitamins A and E provide antioxidant protection
- Occlusive properties seal in moisture and prevent water loss
- Helps heal minor wounds, cracks, and chapping
