What it does

Panthenol is the provitamin (precursor) of pantothenic acid (vitamin B5). When applied to skin, it is converted to pantothenic acid, which is essential for fatty acid synthesis and thus barrier function. It simultaneously acts as a humectant (attracting water), an emollient (sealing moisture), and has anti-inflammatory and wound healing properties.

Benefits
  • Deeply hydrates skin as a humectant and emollient
  • Supports barrier repair and reduces skin roughness
  • Soothes irritation and inflammation
  • Accelerates wound healing and reduces post-procedure recovery time
  • Non-irritating and suitable for all skin types
