Its active compounds — asiaticoside, madecassoside, asiatic acid, and madecassic acid — stimulate collagen synthesis, reduce inflammation, and accelerate wound healing. Highly popular in Korean skincare, it is a foundational ingredient for barrier repair and irritation relief.

Use morning and/or evening. Particularly beneficial after active treatments (AHAs, retinol) to soothe the skin. Look for products listing madecassoside or asiaticoside for higher potency.
