What it does

Propanediol is a diol derived from corn sugar fermentation. It is a lightweight humectant and solvent that draws moisture into the skin and improves the delivery of co-formulated actives. It has a cleaner skin-feel than glycerin (less sticky) and is popular in serums and essences as an alternative to butylene glycol.
