What it does

Allantoin is a naturally occurring compound found in comfrey root and many other plants (also produced synthetically for cosmetic use). It promotes cell proliferation and skin regeneration (keratolytic and granulating), helping to heal wounds and reduce irritation. It is one of the most versatile and well-tolerated soothing agents in formulation.
