What it does

Ascorbyl glucoside is a water-stable glycoside derivative of vitamin C that converts to free ascorbic acid enzymatically in the skin. It is significantly more stable than L-ascorbic acid, does not oxidise easily, and can be formulated at neutral pH — making it suitable for sensitive skin and combination with a wider range of actives. While slightly less potent than direct L-ascorbic acid, its stability advantage makes it highly practical.

Benefits
  • Brightens skin tone and fades hyperpigmentation
  • Stable in formulation — does not oxidise like L-Ascorbic Acid
  • Suitable for sensitive skin due to neutral pH
  • Stimulates collagen synthesis over time
  • Antioxidant protection against UV-induced damage

Heads up
  • Slightly less potent than L-Ascorbic Acid at equivalent concentrations

How to use

Apply morning or evening after cleansing. Can be used alongside retinol and exfoliants more comfortably than L-Ascorbic Acid due to its higher pH tolerance.
