“A sugar molecule that brightens skin and boosts hyaluronic acid production.”
What it does
Acetyl glucosamine (N-acetyl glucosamine) is a derivative of glucosamine found naturally in the skin. It inhibits tyrosinase activity to reduce melanin production (brightening), acts as a precursor to hyaluronic acid synthesis in the skin, and has mild exfoliating properties. It works particularly well with niacinamide for hyperpigmentation.
