What it does

Sodium ascorbate is the sodium salt of ascorbic acid (Vitamin C). It is more stable and less acidic than pure L-ascorbic acid, making it better tolerated by sensitive skin. It provides antioxidant protection and contributes to brightening, though it is generally considered less potent than direct ascorbic acid at equivalent concentrations.

Benefits
  • Antioxidant protection against free radicals
  • Brightens skin tone over time
  • More stable and less irritating than L-ascorbic acid
  • Suitable for sensitive skin
