What it does

Polyglutamic acid (PGA) is a naturally occurring polymer derived from fermented soybeans. As a humectant, it holds significantly more water than hyaluronic acid by weight and also inhibits the enzyme hyaluronidase, which breaks down the skin's natural hyaluronic acid — effectively preserving the skin's own moisture reserves. It forms a breathable film on the skin surface that reduces transepidermal water loss.

Benefits
  • Holds up to 4x more moisture than hyaluronic acid
  • Inhibits breakdown of the skin's natural hyaluronic acid
  • Forms a film that reduces water loss from the skin surface
  • Suitable for all skin types including sensitive
  • Improves skin plumpness and reduces fine lines over time
