UV filterSunscreen
“The most widely used UVB filter globally — effective but under increasing scrutiny.”
What it does
Octinoxate is the most commonly used chemical UVB filter worldwide. It absorbs UVB radiation efficiently and is well-tolerated in most sunscreen formulations. Like oxybenzone, it has raised concerns about systemic absorption and potential endocrine effects at high doses, though regulatory bodies have maintained approval at approved concentrations.
Benefits
- Highly effective UVB protection
