What it does

Linoleic acid is an essential omega-6 fatty acid that cannot be synthesised by the body. It is a key structural component of ceramides and the skin's lipid barrier. Research shows that acne-prone skin is often deficient in linoleic acid (and relatively high in oleic acid), making topical application particularly beneficial. Found naturally in sunflower, rosehip, and grapeseed oils.

Benefits
  • Replenishes essential fatty acids in the skin barrier
  • Anti-inflammatory properties
  • Often deficient in acne-prone skin — topical application may reduce breakouts
  • Supports ceramide synthesis
