What it does

Green tea extract is rich in polyphenols, particularly epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), which is one of the most potent antioxidants studied in dermatology. EGCG neutralises free radicals, reduces UV-induced inflammation, inhibits sebum production, and has demonstrated anti-acne activity by suppressing Cutibacterium acnes growth and sebocyte lipogenesis.

Benefits
  • Powerful antioxidant protection against UV and pollution-induced free radical damage
  • Reduces sebum production and helps control oiliness
  • Anti-inflammatory — soothes UV-induced redness and irritation
  • Mild antibacterial activity against acne-causing bacteria
  • Reduces the risk of photocarcinogenesis with consistent use
