What it does

Cocamidopropyl betaine is a mild amphoteric surfactant derived from coconut oil. It reduces skin irritation when combined with stronger surfactants (like SLS), produces a creamy lather, and is gentle enough for sensitive and baby skin. It is one of the most widely used "mild" surfactants in facial cleansers.
