Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate
Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate
Also known as: Cocoyl Taurate
SurfactantCleansing
“A taurine-derived surfactant that gives a creamy lather.”
What it does
Sodium methyl cocoyl taurate is made from coconut fatty acids and taurine. It produces a dense, creamy foam and is notably mild, which is why it appears in cleansers aimed at sensitive or dry skin. It rinses cleanly without the squeaky, tight feeling stronger detergents leave behind.
Benefits
- Creamy, stable lather at low harshness
- Rinses without leaving skin tight
- Well tolerated by sensitive skin
