What it does

Myristic acid is a saturated fatty acid found naturally in coconut oil, palm kernel oil, and nutmeg. In skincare it functions as an emollient, thickener, and cleansing agent. It contributes to the pearlescent appearance of some creams and is a key component of bar soap. It is skin-compatible as the skin produces small amounts naturally.
