Cocos Nucifera Oil
Also known as: Cocos Nucifera · Virgin Coconut Oil · Fractionated Coconut Oil

“A deeply moisturising oil beloved by many — but best avoided if you're acne-prone.”
What it does
Coconut oil is a saturated fat derived from the flesh of coconuts. It is rich in lauric acid, which has antimicrobial properties, and medium-chain fatty acids that penetrate skin well. While it is an excellent body moisturiser and hair conditioner, its high oleic acid content and comedogenic rating make it problematic for acne-prone facial skin.
Benefits
- Deeply moisturises dry skin and hair
- Lauric acid has antibacterial properties
- Rich, protective feel for very dry or cracked skin
