Ethoxydiglycol
Ethoxydiglycol
Also known as: Diethylene Glycol Monoethyl Ether
SolventPenetration enhancer
“A solvent that helps actives dissolve and absorb.”
What it does
Ethoxydiglycol dissolves ingredients that water alone cannot, and helps them penetrate rather than sitting on the surface. It is common in serums built around vitamin C or acids. Because it aids penetration it can make an already-strong formula feel stronger on sensitive skin.
Benefits
- Dissolves actives that water cannot
- Helps actives absorb rather than sit on the surface
