What it does

Chlorphenesin is a synthetic preservative with broad-spectrum activity against bacteria, yeast, and moulds. It is commonly used in combination with phenoxyethanol and is popular in Asian beauty and The Ordinary formulations. At approved concentrations it has a good safety profile, though some people may experience mild sensitivity.
